NASA Worldview displays selected remote-sensing products. Copernicus Marine offers oceanographic datasets and visualisations. Each layer has distinct units, resolution, observation periods and uncertainties.
Not a kelong sensor
A satellite pixel or model grid value is not a direct measurement at a specific kelong. For field comparisons record device calibration, date, method and weather.
Visualisation exercise
Choose a day and variable, such as sea-surface temperature. Note the legend, spatial coverage, date, missing data and questions the map cannot answer.
